I offer the following services:
 |
Case Review |
CASE REVIEW
I can offer a comprehensive review as to the merit of your case from a toxicological point of view.
 |
Trial Preparation |
TRIAL PREPARATION
I can help you prepare questions for an opposing expert as well as give you a better understanding of the toxicological principles that are being argued.
 |
Discovery Issues |
DISCOVERY ISSUES
By virtue of my experience in both the laboratory and the courtroom, I can help you identify discovery issues that others may miss.
 |
Pharmacokinetic Modeling |
PHARMACOKINETIC MODELING
Given enough information, I can apply the science of pharmacokinetics to predict the theoretical time-course of a drug concentration in a subject at any given time. Pharmacokinetics can also be useful for rebutting or validating a drug use scenario.
 |
Blood Alcohol Modeling |
BLOOD ALCOHOL MODELING
Alcohol is undoubtedly the most studied of all pharmacologically active substances known to man. Given enough information, I can apply that vast amount of research to creating a pharmacokinetic model of the theoretical time-course of a subject's blood alcohol concentration at any given time. This technique is also useful in validating or rebutting a drinking scenario.
 |
Interpretation of Results |
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
I can interpret the meaning of laboratory results of drug, alcohol, and/or poison concentrations in both antemortem and postmortem specimens.
 |
Expert Witness |
EXPERT WITNESS
I can serve as an expert witness in forensic toxicology in depositions and at trial. I have never been excluded from testifying as an expert in forensic toxicology.
 |
Continuing Education |
CONTINUING EDUCATION
I offer speaking, training, and continuing education presentations in various subjects surrounding forensic toxicology, including analytical considerations, laboratory operation, pharmacokinetics, etc. Often times I will provide these services for free or for just my expenses!
 |
Blood Alcohol Testing |
BLOOD ALCOHOL TESTING
I can arrange to have your client's blood specimen tested or retested for blood alcohol concentration (BAC) by a private ASCLD/LAB certified laboratory. I have a very close working relationship with this laboratory and have personally reviewed their protocols and procedures. I can vouch for their professionalism and competency. Alternately, for an added expense, I will personally handle your blood alcohol evidence and perform the required testing. This arrangement reduces the number of people in the chain of custody and therefore the number of witnesses required in court.
